Welcome to examples of ICDAS Generic Model Creation (ICDAS GEN).
ICDAS GEN is the latest add-ins from ICDAS to automate infrastructural construction in Revit. Parametric inputs are entered in Excel in similar manner as for ICDAS Bridges, ICDAS Wind Turbine Foundations and ICDAS Buildings. ICDAS GEN is special developed in Revit as an increasing demands of BIM in infrastructural constructions.
Revit BIM model created from ICDAS GEN can be easily uploaded on InfraWorks cloud services where the bridge will occur simultaneously with digital roads, buildings and elevations in 3D aerial map, cf. BIM+GIS Integration.
ICDAS GEN creates almost any geometry of infrastructural constructions, incl. bridges and tunnels along any alignment cf. Model description.
BIM for Infrastructure provide many advantages for maintenance and asset management og existing bridges, tunnels and structures. In Denmark the government has ‘Strategy for Denmark's digital growth’ which include i.a. to transform existing 2D drawings to digital 3D BIM models, see e.g. conditions of bridges in Denmark at BIM Model.
